Portuguese Language Course for Beginners – A Practical Course for Educators
Portuguese is a global language spoken by more than 260 million people worldwide, making it an important tool for communication, career development, and cultural exchange. Learning Portuguese opens opportunities to connect with diverse cultures and communities across several continents.

This course is designed for adult teachers and educators who wish to begin learning Portuguese for personal or professional purposes. Day one: Welcome to Portugal

▪ Why learn Portuguese? Advantages for teachers and professionals
▪ Introduction to Portuguese-speaking countries and cultures
▪ Greetings, introductions, and common phrases
▪ Role-playing: getting information about other students
▪ Networking activities
Day two: The Portuguese Language
▪ Partner activities: dialogues and small talk
▪ Numbers, days of the week, and common phrases
▪ Talking about professions, nationality, and personal information
▪ Common phrases for travel, work, and social settings
▪ Fun challenges: speed vocabulary games, storytelling
Day three: Cultural Immersion
▪ A day in the city: real life communication
▪ AI use in daily life situations
▪ Networking activities
Day four: Grammar and Sentence Building
▪ Sentence formation through interactive exercises
▪ Kahoot! and quizzes for grammar reinforcement
▪ Listening practice: Understanding simple dialogues in schools
Day five: Language and Experience
▪ Portuguese traditions, music, and gastronomy
▪ Virtual or real-world cultural scavenger hunt
▪ Final interactive presentation or real-world language task
▪ Course evaluation and feedback

Assessment and Certification:

Certification
▪ All participants will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the course. Additionally, an Europass Mobility Certificate can be issued upon request.
▪ Our courses are developed and delivered in full compliance with the Quality Standards for courses under Key Action 1.
▪ We also provide support to participants in completing Learning Agreements and any other necessary documentation required by their organization.
Costs and Erasmus+ funds (The cost can be funded by Erasmus+ programme KA1 mobility of staff)
Course fee: 500 €
The amount includes preparation for the course, training, training materials and organizational costs, coffee breaks and a guided tour.
Accommodation and meals are not included.
